What are fillers?
Fillers, also known as liquid serums that come in various doses depending on the level of treatment each patient needs. Fillers are loaded with naturally occurring collagen-stimulating substances like hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic which is known to increase the skin's elasticity and in turn smooth out fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of ageing.
Filler procedure: What to expect
We first start off with a consultation, during which Dr Lesego will meet with you to discuss your concerns and goals. During your consultation, Dr Lesego will evaluate, review your medical history, examine your area and determine if fillers are the correct treatment for your skin type and your needs.
Before the treatment, the area will be cleaned, and you may be given a topical anaesthetic to numb the area. Dr Lesego will then inject a precise amount of filler strategically beneath the skin. Some patients experience mild swelling and bruising afterwards, but these are temporary and should subside a few days after treatment.
